Wood Fence Sales and Installation
WOOD FENCE IS STILL THE MOST COMMON TYPE OF FENCE in the market today, and Superior Fence & Rail is your wood fence company of choice. Wood fence is affordable, offers privacy and has a beautiful natural look that compliments landscaping and other outdoor garden features. Board on board style wood fencing offers complete privacy with overlapping boards while stockade wood fencing offers privacy with boards that abut one another but do not overlap. Shadowbox style wood fencing offers some privacy but is not completely opaque when viewed from an angle and therefore offers less wind resistance. It is for this reason that many communities in Dade County require their residents to install shadowbox wood fencing instead of complete privacy styles.

Quality Matters
Although wood fencing is not as durable or long-lasting as vinyl or aluminum fencing, with some preventative maintenance, your wood fence can still look good for years. Staining and sealing offers surface protection against weathering, fading and changes in climate.
Fence Empire offers wood fence made from pressure treated pine and from cypress, both of which are resistant to subterranean termites. We make all the standard styles of wood fence and also customize wood fencing for customers who have specific ideas about what type of wood fencing will accentuate their home. Please call one of our salespeople today to get an estimate for your new wood fence.

The Details of the Framework & Gate Make a Difference
When building the framework for our wood fencing projects, we use three 2×4 pressure-treated pine horizontal rails. The first two rails connect the posts of the fence horizontally near the top of the posts and closer to the ground. The third rail adds stability to the fence and is necessary for the rot board which acts as a buffer between the picket and the ground. The rot board underneath the pickets protects them from the ground moisture. Because the cedar pickets (Western Red Cedar) are the most expensive component of the fence, Fence Empire uses a 2×6 pressure-treated pine rot board on all of the wood fences we build. By using an expert fence contractor like Fence Empire, you can expect your fence to last around 15 years in the South Florida area.
